Hit the reset button, and give yourself a chance to let go of what’s not useful, necessary, or kind. Find a bit of space to breathe, and begin to remember that you deserve your attention as much as anybody or anything else.
You have to look after yourself first if you want to be able to look after anybody else – and least in any long-term sense. So – it’s your duty to yourself, as well as to the people that you love and care for, to take some time for you.
Guided meditation can help you do this. Start to treat yourself better from the inside out, get off the “hamster-wheel” that it can sometimes feel like you’re on, for a moment, and recognise that there’s always 101 other things that you could be doing…But are these things useful, necessary, or kind?
